We were introduced to a partner at Plough Penny, but they came back saying that they were not doing early stage investments due to the uncertain economic environment.

Jud is very charming and personable, but doesn't know how to be helpful to startups. Investors ought to know that a quick "no" is much better than a long maybe. We had a great pitch meeting, and he made encouraging comments, he said he'd get back to us and then "poof". He disappeared for good. So much wasted time...

For small investments ($50 to $250K) on the East Coast, Plough Penny may be a great fit, though they will not lead.
