Has Panorama run out of funds for new investments? No new announcements since 2008, when they raised a fund of $240M:

Even that raise seemed smaller than expected when they first separated from JP Morgan.
Good people, but do they have any remaining fuel?

I know, it's a nut title but Panorama is singularly the best VC firm I've ever worked with when it comes to execution and support of portfolio companies. They follow the standard process but they are very sensitive to not wasting company time. The process was efficient, professional, and as close to 'painless' as any rectal exam can be.
The real value comes after close. The rolodex, the full on introductions, the assistance with smart people to help the company is all way above the normal 'we're here to help' nonsense. In particular, Chris Albinson is out of park when it comes to actually helping the company. He is a delight to work with.
The value add Panorama provides to my company easily exceeds any extra pref shares or other that I probably could have negotiated in my favor. I'd do it again in a second.

Mike Jung has really good product understanding in particular in the consumer internet space. I've sent a few friends over that were raising and all have come back with very positive feedback that he is really smart and a great guy. I think it's important that you get a VC that you can actually like :)

We recently pitched our plan to Vik. I found Vik to be an extremely good listener. He was able to quickly understand our pitch and grasp our value proposition and differentiation. He had an outstanding capability to grasp the larger picture without allowing details to clutter his views. He was genuine and frank about his feedback. He gave us great input in regards to our strengths and weaknesses. Initially he comes across as a "big picture" person but he is able to identify the key details and digs deeper to understand them fully. He created a relaxed environment allowing us to present our case in a thorough manner.

These guys passed on our deal but we had a few meetings with the team and had an overall great experience. Allan Leinwand was direct, very helpful, and insightful.

We presented twice, including to their technology team (but not the full partnership). Our point of contact was Michael Jung. He treated us like a peer and really helped us brainstorm and refine our concept.
