Great Experience

NTAN led our raise at several of the Texas Angel groups. They were very supportive, and conducted outreach to CVAN, WTAN, HAN, and CTAN to assist our raise. We raised >$400k this round, and NTAN was the largest part of it.
I have raised over $50 million in VC money in a prior life, and while the angel route is time consuming, when this group gets behind your deal, they help put the raise across the finish line.
Dallas was in need of a quality group, and NTAN is filling this role. Mike Bartlett and Chuck McCoy are pro-active, quality guys, and I highly recommend them and NTAN.

Spoke with McCoy several times. They have been around less than 2 years which makes me wonder where they get the nerve to charge the fees they do. I got the distinct impression that they concentrate more on generating fees than investing in start-ups. I would normally not mind paying a fee to a group that has a track record but they have none and seem to only fund 1:50 which tells me they are not screeing their deals well enough.
Such a young Angel Network should not be charging fees until they prove themselves.
Save your money and spend it on customer acquisition.

NTAN is gaining momentum. They have made their first investments. They are gaining members. Chuck McCoy handles entrepreneurs with professional style. These guys are worth talking too, if you need $100-200k in seed money. As they add members, I am sure they will be able to take bigger bites, e.g. up to $500k.
