Minimize Dilution and Hassle

Fund: Lighthouse Capital Partners, Inc.

Posted by Anonymous on 2007-09-27

PUBLIC:

Lighthouse Capital is a Venture Debt operation. Generally speaking, they offer a committed loan (in our case over $5m). In exchange they get modest warrant coverage and interest payments.

On the plus side, dilution is 1/10th to 1/20th that of similar money from a traditional VC. On the down side, you're on the hook to pay it all back.

Rick Stubblefield is a straight shooter and, from my experience, he sits more on the entrepreneur side of the table than does a traditional VC. He's good guy with long track record. He's got an even temperment and is a good coach without being too intrusive
