I'm brand new to the world of funding and am always trying to look for some guidance. I met with Tim Lee, one of the execs at Growthworks, at an event, and he offered to tell me all about the ins and outs of funding. He spent an hour of his busy time talking to me. Although I am not at the stage yet where I need VC money, I would definitely refer Growthworks and Tim Lee.

We presented to Pat Brady, and found him to be engaged throughout the meeting and ready to provide real insight. His follow up was immediate and relevant.

We were offered a term sheet but we had other options and did not go with Growthworks. The team seemed to be very professional. Tim Lee was our contact and probably one of teh best VCs I have interacted with. Straight to the point and very responsive.

I pitched them, specifically Tim Lee in the Toronto office. He was nice enough not to click away on his BB. The follow up was poor. We never really got a no or yes even after we had another term sheet which we ultimately closed.
They are a tough group to deal with. In Toronto, Scott Pelton has the best reputation for being a solid guy with serious technical chops.
