FIRM DESCRIPTION: Our mission is to invest capital in high-growth, expansion-stage companies, within specific sectors of the Information Technology and Medical Technology fields, with the objective of realizing venture level returns for us, our investors, and for the other shareholders and managers of each portfolio company. Brook Venture Partners focuses on the so-called 'funding gap' between Angel investors that typically provide up to $1 million, and larger institutional investors that typically prefer to invest more than $5 million per investment round. We believe that a good company begins with good management. Products and markets are secondary, albeit very important. We practice a high degree of oversight, not heavy handed, but consisting of frequent interaction and monitoring, and where necessary, stepping in to help. We seek high rewards for our capital, but we share the upside with management through unique incentives that reward management for growth and capital appreciation. We are prudent investors, avoiding investments not well articulated, or where the level of risk is deemed inappropriate by our standards.
