A Fair Shake

I pitched to Nth recently, and although they turned us down, I feel like we got a fair review and they moved the process along on a very timely basis. No bs answers, and they gave the courtesy of a call explaining their thinking instead of the usual unreturned emails.

the oldest of the clean tech VC's, which is a blessing and a curse. While they have been investing the longest, the environment has only recently become favorable for exits so their performance is lackluster in the LP opinion. So fund is small. There has also been turnover in the partnership.

Place to Go in Clean Tech

Nth invested in my last company, and they were the first to commit, and their support never waivered even during the tough times.

They pioneered cleantech / energy investing when it was way out of fashion and never quit -- and never quit on their portfolio companies.

Also, they are the best VC firm I have ever worked with in terms of networking you with their LPs. If their LPs are of value to you (energy), Nth will get you in with them - period. Their LPs are also a great source of corporate investors for your next round.

In terms of ethics, they are also an A.
