I met Skip with a previous company and have developed a good relationship with him. He's someone that I actively would like involved in my business, he doesn't get pushed around (thinks independently) and operates with integrity and transparency, which is a real luxury. I do believe the fund takes a long time to close on a deal and they are more concerned about the 1) the people, and 2) the technology defensibility, so make sure you have both fronts covered.PRIVATE: Members Only (162 Characters)

Skip and the partners at the firm are very knowledgeable in the space and asked the right questions, spanning from very technical to business oriented.
The due diligence was thorough, focussed on customer calls, and the results were as helpful for us as for the fund to come to a decision.
The terms were flexible and result oriented, which was helpful because of syndication, which makes it always a touch more complicated.
The closing and execution was professional and fast.
I can only recommend this firm and Skip in particular. I look forward to working with him as a member of our board of directors.

Skip Fleshman responded to my law firm's recommendation and invited me to pitch. He listened, cut to the important questions, and listened to the answers. He made it clear that we were early, but in a followup written clearly he gave me a fair lay of the land and told me what it would take to make the deal attractive to them. He also said that we would need more funds than they could provide, so it would have to syndicate with another VC. I felt that I got fair feedback by someone who understood what we were doing.PRIVATE: Members Only (171 Characters)

I spoke with one of the partners at Asset and was told that they are at the end of their fund. They will be raising a new fund soon. While they have some funds available, they want to keep some dry powder. I suspect they will be extremely picky until they have fresh capital and recommend your time be spent with more productive investors.PRIVATE: Members Only
