Rough Portfolio, but Decent Guys

Met with the chair of the group. Extremely nice guy. Explained the process was pitch in front of the group, 30 days to evaluation, 30 days of diligence, decision (each member decides after hearing from the deal "champion"). I echo that it probably is a rough, drawn out, perhaps slightly disorganized diligence run, as each member has to become comfortable with investing and will invariably have different "asks." Nice enough guys, but have been burned by their former investments it seems.

These guys are trying hard, but they don't have very much tech focus or expertise. They seem uncomfortable especially in the pure web area. They were slow with our initial application -- then we delayed to improve our story -- which later caused confusion as the plan and the initial application reflected changes in our thinking and not all members were up to date.
They are a small group, and individuals make their own decisions, so the final funding level may vary, and you can't know the results until practically the closing itself.
