Bad Partner

Fund: Hercules Technology Growth Capital, Inc.

Posted by An advisor to one of thier investments on 2007-12-03

PUBLIC:

Hercules is not a good partner to have at the table when things get tough. I saw them intentionally force a company into a bad sale against the board by going public on thier desire to sell the company.

Of course it is thier right to put thier debt interest ahead of the preferred and the team....but if they do so, they need to be willing to accept the public knowledge that they did so.

Horrible...

Fund: Hercules Technology Growth Capital, Inc.

Posted by anonymous on 2007-11-18

PUBLIC:

Horrible. Avoid like the plague. They were aggressive with us at first. Put us through 2-3 weeks worth of technical and economic dilligence, and then blew us off at the last minute.

They were shady if not outright dishonest about the number of board reviews involved in the approval process.

They also totally failed to understand some basic economic aspects of our business model - basically high school arithmetic.

Avoid.....
