Worth Passing, Bad Terms, No Operational Experience
Fund: Aisling Capital

Generally the team of Dennis Purcell (legend within the industry), Andrew Schiff (lightweight) and Steve Elms (realtor) are average to good. Tony Sun is particularly good. Unfortunately the weak link in the partnership is Dov Goldstein who is nasty, bullying and deceitful. Unless you're dealing with Dennis or Tony, avoid this crew.

I've successfully pitched and then worked with this fund in a portfolio company. They aren't good. Bad behavior at the Board level and usual VC tricks of changing terms at last moment are their bread and butter. Dennis Purcell is OK on a one to one level. Dov Goldstein has a very bad reputation in the NYC, NJ and PA areas. He's immature and brings no business nor management value to portfolio companies - Unless you're really desperate - go elsewhere.
