The team's track record as successful entrepreneurs really comes through. Charles in particular thinks like an entrepreneur and was supportive and constructive. In order to pitch them, think they want to see the $1b idea. but, they will help you think about how to get together.
I do think there is a pecking order there which it makes it important to interface with someone has some clout-- otherwise you might spin your wheels.
we got a term sheet but backed out because of valuation.

Mike brought us into Partech for our Series-A with himself and Nicolas El Baze. Could not ask for a better partner with more insight and integrity. Sometimes a young company can experience growing pains, and Mike was right there with us rolling up his sleeves to help in any way he could. I wouldn't hesitate at the opportunity to work with Mike again.

[Had to chime in on this one!] I'm in lock step with wazapandy. Mike was the reason that we chose Partech to lead our series B round also.
Even after switching, Mike continues to play a hyper-active role with our company. He's done a ton of biz dev for us all the way from high level intros down to cold calling potential advertisers. On top of everything else, he's a great guys and you'll be happy having him on your team.

Mike is an advisor to my company and has alone added more value than the remaining full slate of advisors combined. He contributes tremendous insights for a wide breadth of business challenges faced by a young startup such as ours. In addition, he has a shockingly large rolodex, even for a company which is outside the traditional sectors covered by Silicon Valley venture capitalists. Having worked in venture capital for a number of years, I have spent time with many VCs and have found few that truly add value like Mike does. His business savvy and tremendous intellectual horsepower are an enormous asset for the companies he advises.

Worked closely with Bill recently and have nothing but great things to say about him. Level headed and willing to work for you. Just what you want from a VC.

Charles Moldaw was nice. Warren Weiss said that they wanted to move forward but was a total grump. More smart morons.
