Metamorphic led Encoding.com's Series A which closed in January. Closing the deal was generally a smooth process -- FYI, I've closed 9 rounds of financing in the past 12 years so I've seen many different scenarios.

The reason we chose Metamorphic was that Marc, Lewis, and David all have strong operating experience and seemed to be very connected in our market. And, we believed that as a relatively new fund, they would work harder for their portfolio companies. We were correct on all accounts. They are super-supportive and continually offer help with customer intros, strategy, business modeling, and thoughts on how to improve operational efficiencies.

So far, the first six months working together has been a very positive experience. For any entrepreneur in the digital media / technology space looking for early stage capital, I recommend reaching out to Metamorphic.
