As is the case with most VC firms, Nexit partners have executive operating experience, a record of success, deep knowledge of the area of their investment focus and an extensive network of contacts in the industry. What sets Nexit apart is the partners’ commitment to teamwork – among themselves and with the management teams in their portfolio. They collaborate and leverage each other’s skills and experience in order to deliver maximum value to their companies. Here are three examples of what Nexit has done for my company in addition to investing and making a contribution at the board of directors level:
- When the company lost its CEO and a young technologist temporarily took its helm, a Nexit partner dedicated a significant percentage of his time coaching, helping run the company, and acting as the account manager who won the company’s first two customer deals. The Nexit partner made sure the company got in good enough shape to attract more experienced leadership and even then, he helped the new CEO come up to speed.
- As the company went through a tough financial restructuring, another Nexit partner became the company’s part-time CFO so he could help the company navigate its way to being able to receive new funding.
- The company was founded in Europe, and as it started growing again, it re-incorporated in the United States and looked to establish its headquarters in Silicon Valley, and grow its sales in North America. Nexit’s US-based partner joined the company’s board and was instrumental in helping the company establish itself in the US.
Through thick and thin, Nexit has provided skills and experience the company could ill afford to hire or retain. Nexit has proven itself to be a TRUE VALUE ADDING INVESTOR.
