TheFunded Connect, a free service to streamline fundraising, has sealed its first deal. JS-Kit, a developer of professional widgets for publishers, closed a $3.6 MM Series B financing on October 10th with Altos Ventures. The JS-Kit introduction to Altos Ventures reflects some common trends in the Connect service:

    (1) Altos replied to JS-Kit within three hours of being introduced, and the average investor response time is less than 48 hours.
    (2) The first face-to-face pitch was set-up five days after the introduction, and the average time to set-up a meeting or call is less than 10 days, if the investor is interested.
    (3) Altos started diligence on JS-Kit within 10 days and then issued terms within 30 days of the first introduction.
    (4) JS-Kit closed the financing approximately 90 days after first being introduced to Altos Ventures through TheFunded Connect.
