I've known Eric since 1997 and have been involved in several deals with him -- as an advisor, an investor, a consultant, and an employee of companies in which he is invested.
I've never know Eric to be less than right on target with his advice, criticism, analysis, and execution. I've seen him in some of the least optimal scenarios and he never loses his poise or his dedication to seeing things through.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to imply that Eric will continue to back a losing play, but before it is determined that the "patient is actually terminal", Eric will work tirelessly with management, investors, and the board to make sure that everything that can be done, will be done.
Eric is a loyal investor and friend and you will never be sorry if you make the decision to have him involved in your company or personally. You will get immense value out of every interaction.
I can't wait until I have another company in which he can invest. He brings a ton of value and his network is immense and effective. If I am lucky enough to have him involved, then I know I must be on to something big.
