Despite their bad reputation, we pitched to them. Hugh actually fell asleep during the presentation! They never got back to us, but we figured they passed. We got money (thankfully!) by much better VC firms.
I've been told don't ever get them on your board. They make a spectacle of board meetings, fight amongst themselves, and micromanage to the Nth degree.
