As a founder of a company that is backed by North Hill, I recommend them if you are in the financial technology sector.

We pitched North Hill when we were raising our second institutional round. We couldn't come to an agreement on price (seemed silly as we were off by a few cents - but we didn't want to do a down round). We raised more money from current investors, but when we went to raise more $ in the next round, we went back to first round, and that time were able to come to an agreement. I've gotten to know Shamez fairly well and he has been a model board member. Their connections with capital one can be quite useful. Certainly, not a fund for everyone, but if you have a product that is in the financial service market, or is for financial service companies, they're a great fund to get involved.
