Excellent Funding Source for London Business

Fund: The Capital Fund

PUBLIC:

Created with government and private funding as a quasi-public VC fund to support businesses in "the equity gap". £250k initial investment, £250k follow on, then up to £5 million alongside new investors.

Large fund and small deal size means they have a lot of deal flow, so after some effort have developed a very efficient pitching and evaluation process.

Like to invest alongside angels and will give the investee business an opportunity to propose an outside non-exec, rather than impose one. Overall very fair terms and decent group of people.

A good team. Stuart Nicol in particular is a great guy to have on your side.
